Treatment Procedures
What you can expect from a treatment?
In your first visit there will be a consultation done , which involves taking a case history of medical history and recording the patients ailments. This will be updated to track the patients progress as treatments continue. I will advise the patient on any lifestyle changes that would benefit your recovery.
The first treatment will take 1 hour, and any more treatments will take between 45 minutes and 1 hour . This depends on what is required to assist the patient in their recovery.
What will the treatment consist of?
Once the consultation is done , I will use muscle testing , orthopaedic evaluations , and palpation techniques to assess the patients problems. This allows me to evaluate which areas of the body are out of alignment. An example is if you were suffering from neck pain , through my evaluations I could find that your lower back is causing the discomfort, thus area of pain is not always root of problem.
I then would use cranial balancing , osteopathic releases , Seitai and Anma to realign the body and leave it balanced and restore postural balance.
Will I need many treatments?
This depends on many different factors :
- How long have you been suffering from ailments ?
- What is your diet like ?
- Do you exercise regularly ?
As you can see your recovery depends on what your general health is like and the severity of your problem. Some people will start to feel better immediately but in general 3 - 4 treatments are recommended in the first month. This gives the body the chance to get the balance that it needs to cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life.
LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
This is the body's lymphatic system and as you can see it reaches every part of the body. It forms a one way flow system towards the heart.
Through this system flows lymph which is responsible for removing bacteria , viruses , cell debris and hence can carry infection through the body when its flow is restricted. There is a one way flow so when there is a blockage the whole system backs up and causes areas of pain and discomfort. General muscle movements keep the system pumping so muscle tension is part of the problem also.
So you can see here the importance of balancing the whole body to ensure flow of blood and lymph to all areas of the body. |
